Clarkia are upright growing 1.5-2 foot plants produce a profusion of 1 inch flowers. Cut branches can last for several days. Cut when the first bud opens and then the others will follow even after they have been cut.

Sow clarkia outdoors in late spring. Or sow indoors 6 weeks before the last frost date. Barely cover the seeds. Full sun to part shade. Clarkia likes well-drained soil. Easy to grow. Clarkia reseeds on bare soil.
