Hot Portugal Pepper Seeds (64 days)

Hot Portugal is a sturdy pepper plant that is vigorous in growth and it is this structure that provides large numbers of fruit. 

Peppers are an average of 6-7" long and about 1 1/2" at the shoulder tapering to a point. 

Hot Portugal peppers start off green and soon turn into a glossy lipstick red. 

Ripens early compared to other peppers making it a perfect pepper for market.

1935 Joseph Harris Seed Company catalog says about Hot Portugal Pepper Seed....

"This is the best large "hot" red pepper we know.  If you want large hot peppers you should try the new Hot Portugal.  It is the largest pepper of this type we have seen and is very hot.  The fruit averages 6" long or more, is bright red when ripe and is very freely borne on sturdy upright plants."
