  I found the easiest method for propigating tobacco is to take coarse vermiculite (about a shot glass worth.slightly dampen with a spray bottle.take a pinch of seet with a flat nose tweezer and mix into the vermiculite.Then place the individual vermiculite 'grains' onto a seed flat or into smal propigating cups.I find I get 1-2 or 3 (max) plants in a cup that way.A tobacco wrapper grower I knew in Florida used to throw a bag if vermiculie in a concrete mixer with an ounce of seed and then used a creamer pea plate in his planter as it was the size that would regulate the size of the vermiculite..
