Organic Australian Brown Onion SeedsAllium cepa

Organic Australian Brown Onion Seeds (100 days)

C.C. Morse & Co.(later Ferry Morse Seed co.) is credited with originally obtaining this Spanish onion, but he sold it to W.A. Burpee in 1897 who promptly released it under the name Australian Brown Onion.

This onion will produce uniform medium to large size globes that are pungent, yet flavorful.

Australian Brown is an excellent storage onion!

I am really impressed with Australian Brown's storage ability.

The one is these pictures was stored over 7 months BEFORE these pictures were taken!

You can see how firm the flesh is.

All of this is due to a unique waxy brown paper coating.

Nature's own perfect storage container.

Perfect for onion rings as the flesh is firm and will with-stand frying.

Good all purpose onion.

Great for the home gardener or market grower.

Seeding Rate for Organic Onion Seeds:

300,000 plants/acre, aproximately 3 lb.

Heirloom seeds are hardy but always take care with your garden seeds to give them the appropriate amount of moisture - not letting the vegetable seeds dry out prematurely or overwatering and possibly having them rot.
