We are big believers in a strong, unified community. We believe it is imperative for any business to give back to the community. After all a business is a part of the community.
One of the best ways we can give back to the community is through the green work we do. Community gardens can be a space for people to come together from all ages, backgrounds, cultures, and belief to create a place of caring and trust. We want to foster and grow not only gardens but people. These are some of the ways we are doing that...
Promotional Package Program
Many times we are asked to donate seed packages to community even

ts, fundraisers, conferences, children's functions (see pkg to the right) and the like. We are a small seed company and cannot afford to give seed away just yet. There is the cost of the seed, printing, packaging, shipping, etc... We can however offer our normal .99 package at the promotional price of .45 each.
This means you will get a vegetable or flower of our choosing, packaged in a seed package that promotes our company and has a coupon code on it good for 10% off. These coupon codes can be printed in such a manner as to track your event. For example: if you are participating in our Seed to Free Seed Program, we can print packages with a coupon code that will track every purchase someone in your group makes. This allows us to tally the number of sales your group has had so that you may qualify for free seed for your community gardens.
Many groups use the seed packets as give-aways and staple their event information to the package as a way of getting their message out there in a green way. Some people give them out at weddings, garden parties or Red Hat events. Anyway you disperse them, this is our way of helping you and promoting our new little company. A win win for all involved we believe.
Packages are offered in lots of 100. Please see the Packages category and choose the appropriate number of packages from the drop down menu.
Wisdom Workshops
Do you have a garden group, community garden or just a group of people
excited about learning to garden? Do you live in Northern California?
Then send us and email and tell us about your group. We love coming
out to groups of people to talk about seeds and gardening. We will
host an old fashioned seed swap! We will bring free seed and stories
to your group and we want your members to do the same.
Have a seed that has been handed down for generations? Have prize
winning tomatoes seed from last year? Bring those seeds! Bring your
stories of garden success and bring your passion for gardening. The
idea is to not only swap seeds and stories, but to bring people
together. People need each other and seeds are a wonderful way to
share the love and compassion people have not only for gardening, but
for their fellow man.
To schedule a time for us to come to your group give us a call or
email us today.

seed to plant your community garden? Then send us an
email
telling us about your organization and why it should receive free
seed. Send us some photos of last years garden and how many lives you
touched with the work your school or community did.
Then we will give you a coupon code for every member of your group.
Give this coupon to everyone you know and get them to started buying
their seed from Sustainable Seed Co. Get your church, garden club or
little league involved in the effort. Bring people together not only
for this cause, but to understand the need for community gardens and
why they are important. Seed can bring people together and community
gardens are a place to plant this inspiration. Economic times can be
challenging, but people thrive when working together in something as
beautiful as a garden.
