Farm Favorite here at Sustainable Seed in 2013.

We trialed this variety here on the farm in 2013, and it was by a big hit with the employees. It was highly productive even with our cool nights here in Northern California and was one of the last peppers to get damaged by the frost.

Gatherers gold producted so many tasty peppers that we were able to save many of them to enjoy throughout the winter months. Simply cut them into 4 pieces and place on trays in the freezer for a few hours. Once frozen package up into freeer bags and store in freezer (this method allows you to easily seperate the pieces of peppers for later use).

Planting Tips for Organic Heirloom Sweet Peppers:

Start these vegetable seeds indoors about 6-8 weeks before your last frost date.  Be sure to keep them in a warm place so that the soil temperature stays above 75°.  Young heirloom pepper plants like it to stay warm and will develop best if kept happy.

Only transplant after the pepper seedlings have shown several sets of their true leaves and only once you are sure the outside soil temperature is consistently above 65°.

Organic Heirloom seeds are hardy but always take care with your garden seeds to give them the appropriate amount of moisture - don't let the vegetable seeds dry out prematurely, and don't overwater and possibly have them rot.
