Table Queen Bush Acorn Squash Seed (80 days)

Original Table Queen was introduced by the Iowa Seed Company in 1913

Table Queen winter squash is a green-shelled acorn variety squash.

Table queen weighs about 2-3 pounds when mature and are about seven inches in diameter.

Very prolific bush type acorn squash that will keep your root cellar full.

Like most acorn squash table queen is a fantastic keeper.

Produces a bush.

Pull them out of the root cellar on a winter day for warm, buttery acorn squash soup or bake them with touch of honey and butter.

This was not only a premier homesteading squash, but Table Queen's parentage was handed down by the American Indians.  These squash have very thick outer shells which are like natural containers keeping the buttery insides fresh even as long as 6 months after harvest in some cases!

Recommended by the Following State Universities or Ag Extension Offices as a variety that performs well for their region .  FL, OR, TX

Planting Tips For Heirloom Winter Squash Seeds:

Heirloom winter squash don't mind the heat as much as their name implies.  Only plant once the soil temperature warms to at least 70 degrees and keep in mind that most heirloom varieties of winter squash take 110 days to mature.  So be sure to leave enough time to allow them to fully develop.

Plant 3-6 heirloom squash seeds per hill.  Once they have shown true leaves and grown in size, you should thin out to the 3 strongest plants.  Remember, harvest these winter squash continually in order to keep the plant producing.

Seed Care tips for Heirloom Winter Squash:

Heirloom seeds are hardy but always take care with your garden seeds to give them the appropriate amount of moisture - not letting the vegetable seeds dry out prematurely or overwatering and possibly having them rot.
