Honey Nut Squash originates from Cornell University.
We remember being in Cornell's fields just a few years ago as they were developing this squash. It is totally new and not an heirloom, but it is open pollinated.
What is so special about Honey Nut?
A strong resistance to powdery mildew!
Not to mention the perfect/uniform 4-5" mini-butternut fruit with luscious orange flesh.
Very easy to cut in half and bake.
Very high sugar content when fully ripe.
Wonderful can't wait to plant again
great germination rate as well as speedy transaction of the seeds. plants are in my garden.now if I could keep the squash beetles from eating all of my them!
