Pear shaped orange squash with deep green streaks. The fine grained orange flesh is sweet and nutty in flavor and is great for baking. Has baking qualities similiar to Hubbard squash.
This squash will make a stunning fall decoration as well as excellent meals in the winter. Lakota was once a stable of the Lakota Sioux people and has been not been widely available until recently. Excellent storing sqaush.
This sqaush is rare.
Average weight is around 5-7 lbs
Historic, beautiful squash, delicious, bountiful producer.
i grew this squash a couple of years ago and plan on growing it again this season.
It grew huge and delicious. some of the squash were yellow with green, some with orange.
As tasty as buttercup. thanks for offering this variety.
first time only one seed from a pack germinated. but that one seed is growing very well.
Great customer service over half of the seeds sent did not come up so they sent more. Great customer service.
We planted 2 plants in our small garden. So far, they are growing beautifully and are about 16” wide. Can’t wait to harvest this fall!
