Every seed came up, they're about 3' tall with a sturdy stem. Waiting until mid March to put out in the southern (Ga) garden. Will be licking my lips watching them flower and fruit. I like these as an addition to a traditional red tomato salad.
I had 40 mph winds my greenhouse fell over and was so surprised the seeds survived two days in the cold under soil and are still growing. The roots were in tact so i transplanted them, they are doing just fine. 10 stars
Seven Top turnips are known not for their roots, but for their succulent, tender and high quality greens. Amazing flavor is packed in these leafy greens that are loaded with vitamins A, B, and C. Try freezing a bountiful harvest.
Feed the roots to the pigs or goats as they are not very tasty. This turnip is all about the utterly delicious greens!!!

It is undoubtedly a fine market sort, and keeps well." 1927 Burrell's See...

This is one turnip you want your garden for its perfectly shaped 3-4" amber globes.
Gold Ball is fine grained, smooth, meaty and never woody like other turnips can be. A perfect storage turnip for the root cellar.
