Achillea millefolium rubra
Packet contains 0.2 grams, approximately 1200 seeds
Large red flower clusters stand out against feathery green foliage. Direct sow in fall or spring, or start inside and transplant 18-24 inches apart. Germinates when soil is between 65-75 degrees F. Surface sow and cover very lightly with soil, as the seeds need light to germinate. Blooms begin in early summer. Butterflies love these flowers!
Yarrow has been widely used to stop bleeding; I use it in my shaving cream!
