Every seed came up, they're about 3' tall with a sturdy stem. Waiting until mid March to put out in the southern (Ga) garden. Will be licking my lips watching them flower and fruit. I like these as an addition to a traditional red tomato salad.
I had 40 mph winds my greenhouse fell over and was so surprised the seeds survived two days in the cold under soil and are still growing. The roots were in tact so i transplanted them, they are doing just fine. 10 stars

Green Globe Artichoke Seeds
Cynara scolymus Green Globe Artichoke Seeds (85 days) Approx. 20 seeds per pkg
First documented listing in a seed catalog is 1883.
Green globe is a perennial in zones 7-10 and planted as an annual elsewhere. This artichoke is known for being one of the fastest producers of artichokes grown from seed.
Green Globe Artichokes produce tender, nutty and flavorful green artichokes. Just imagine the flavor of dipping your own artichokes in butter and savoring each moment not only for the flavor, but for the fact that you grew them!
I got a late start on these and didn't get them potted up or outside as quickly as I should have. Not sure we will see anything from them this year but hoping to much well and possibly get something next year, maybe.
