One gram will sow 45 feet at (thinned) spacing of 12-18” on 24” rows.
A plant with many uses that was historically used by the Hopi Nation.
Tender and colorful young leaves are excellent for salads or a micro greens mix.
Grind seed with flour corn for red corn bread.
Amazing ornamental plant and of course dye.
The dye is extracted by the solar dyeing method, as high heat destroys the color. Use an alum mordant to lock the color in.
