Tom Thumb Lettuce Seed (50 days)
Introduced some time in the 1850s!
Small, round head with delicate leaves. About the size of a baseball. Perfect for one-person salad. Can be planted close together in small space. Would grow well in containers on your patio or use it as a petite planting border. I've seen these used at dinner parties where literally the entire head is put on a plate and dressed. It was a wonderful effect and perfect for those outdoor garden parties where you want something light and refreshing.
