Tunisian Baklouit come to us from the Barbary Coast. These are the traditional peppers of Tunisia, a small country on the famed Barbary Coast. Tunisian Baklouit peppers have large red, medium to large size, tapering pods that have a fantastic hot flavor. They tend to get more mild with cooking like many hot peppers. Delicious flavour that is perfect with couscous, and other wonderful North African dishes.
Great container or border plant. Tunisian Baklouit should be started indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost. Sow the seeds in sandy soil and give them warmth. Transplant 12-16 inches apart. Tunisian Baklouit likes a fertilizer treatment once a month. Full sun produces best growth and fruiting results for almost all peppers.
