Every seed came up, they're about 3' tall with a sturdy stem. Waiting until mid March to put out in the southern (Ga) garden. Will be licking my lips watching them flower and fruit. I like these as an addition to a traditional red tomato salad.
I had 40 mph winds my greenhouse fell over and was so surprised the seeds survived two days in the cold under soil and are still growing. The roots were in tact so i transplanted them, they are doing just fine. 10 stars

Yenidje (also known as Yedidje) is an oriental heirloom variety that is the parental strain of oriental tobacco from the growing area in Greece near the city of Xanthi. Many other varieties were developed from this pure strain. It is a slender columnar plant growing 3'-4' in height. The leaves are small, rounded, slightly pointed, reaching 5"-8" in width and 7"-12" in length.
It matures in 60-65 days with the leaves ripening shortly after blooming begins. It has a distinctive flavor, low nicotine content and yields approximately 1 ounce per plant. Yenidje can be planted with less spacing than most other tobaccos at 12"-16" between plants.
